Jinsheng Group, founded in 1947, located in Junan County, the land of peanuts in China, is a multi-operating integrated group enterprise, including oil peanut, biotechnology, foreign trade import and export, catering tourism, e-commerce logistics, ecological agriculture. The group consists of 12 holding companies and institutions, and has won the titles of “the first grain and oil demonstration processing enterprise in China”, “the leading enterprise of grain and oil industrialisation supported by the state”, “the National High-tech Enterprise”, “the national agricultural product processing industry demonstration enterprise”, “the Chinese quality good faith enterprise”, “the Chinese vegetable oil processing enterprise top 50”, “the Chinese peanut oil processing enterprise top 10”, “the Chinese good grain and oil demonstration enterprise”, “the agricultural industrialisation national leading enterprise” and “the most beautiful green food enterprise”.
The group’s main business items and products are; “Jinsheng” brand peanut oil and a series of vegetable oils, peanuts, melon seeds, walnuts and beans, cake powder by-products, food and beverage, hotel rooms, e-commerce, commercial logistics, transportation and distribution, peanut testa and grape seed extract procyanidin, Ginkgo flavone, tea polyphenols and other health care products.
The annual total production capacity of the company is 2 million tons, and the constant temperature oil depot and storage capacity are 1 million tons.
High oleic peanut oil, primary peanut oil and frying special blend oil are the company’s main series of high-end oils, and their products and production processes have obtained national invention patents. Jinsheng series products sales network throughout the country, exported to Europe and the United States, Japan, South Korea, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and more than 50 countries and regions. “Jinsheng” brand peanut oil has won “the first national assured oil”, “national green food”, “Gold Award of the second Food Expo”, the “Product Innovation Award” and “product Gold Award” of the sixth ieoe China oil Expo, and “Jinsheng” trademark has won the “China famous trademark”.
Jinsheng will be undertaking a number of activities for the Agriloop project including:
- pre-treatment of peanuts with cooling to separate the skins from the seeds
- consideration of market applications of proteins/peptides extracted by proteolytic digestion
- investigation into maximising protein separation through optimised low temperature or acid precipitation
- extraction of PPO and carotenoids by natural deep eutectic solvents
- evaluation of nutritional value of proteins/peptides
