Runge Biotechnology was established in 2017 and is located in the beautiful city of Mianzhu, Sichuan Province. It is a biotechnology enterprise engaged in the research and utilization of agricultural microorganisms. The company has established close cooperative relationships with Huazhong Agricultural University, Sichuan Agricultural University, and Gansu Agricultural University, and established a bioengineering research institute with Professor Liang Yunxiang as the chief scientist. The institute currently has three doctoral supervisors, one doctoral student, and more than 30 researchers.
In recent years, the company has deeply explored the utilization value of agricultural by-products, focusing on improving the comprehensive utilization rate of soybean meal. The key technical breakthroughs in the high value utilization of Baijiu distillers’ grains and the substitution of soybean meal for fish meal were achieved. Among them, the production capacity of Baijiu distiller’s grains fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae reached 120000 tons/year, ranking first in China; After experimental evaluation, soybean peptide products have achieved complete substitution for fish meal and have high application value.
In Agriloop, SCRG is working on pilot-scale production, biorefineries schemes and end-usages in close to real conditions.
